No his old one was flint grey 450bhp saff LYA at the end of the plate he was quite well known by all the old school lot

He brought a bright orange race non road legal saff and has just swapped the engine engine over into a flint grey shell Not sure of the exact figures but will be 600bhp + The thing is fooking scary

 

Yeah his a fucking Nutcase alright i let him drive my cabrio before and i didn't think it could go as fast as the way he drove it he had that spining 4th gear

Never went in his old cossie so Alex nominated me tonight to go in it as he knows i hate corners!!! But after tonight i have reralised i hate corners in cabrios and s2's as i felt as safe as houses sideways with john it didn't feel like i was on 2 wheels like it does in mk 4's pmsl The car is a proper monster!!


How many diffs did he break in his old saff i htink he was in the 20's wasn't he

JB is a sick head when driving saff's. Went out in LYA and had nothing but a big grin on my face the entire journey. God help us now he has more power

i was on the A3 going towards a paintball place and i was doing about 105ish,,, flat out in my orion when i looked in the rear veiw mirror and ALL i could see was the fucking wiper blades and a some bloke with a over gelled crop i think leaning towards the windscreen pointing his finger towards the left,,,,,,,, he was RIGHT UP MY FUCKING ARSE,,,,, i was gonna ask his to but a seat belt on in the back the fucker was that close

anyway i pulled over and the fucking car just went past me at a good rate ( didnt even know what a cossie was then )

anyway about 2 years later i asked someone to show me how to remove a engine and it was steve who showed me ( fair play to him and ill never forget that) anyway hes brother turned up and,,,,,, well you cant miss his subtle jewelery and reconise the same hand,,,,,,,,, seriously no other white boy has that much gold,,,,,,,, EVER !!!!

Faye i'm really glad you enjoyed the car, i like goin sideways & i love the fact she'll just spin the wheels up in 3rd in the dry !

Popeye, that trip back from pod was probably the funniest time i had in my old car ! Run a 12 @ pod then having a 10 cossie rip up on the way home was soooo funny ! Especially when i was behind you, we hit the M1 & after a couple of mins (at 150) all we see is traffic @ a stand still !

So our leader Popeye takes to the hard shoulder (not slowing down) & we all just go for it !

This car started life as a Orange Saph but is far from it now, it's not quite 600 hp But will be this year

I've got a Dyno graph @ home for 387hp @ the wheels but the injectors & turbo are being properly maxed out ! But the engine just wants to rev ! Think it's the BD16's & Fidanza flywheel that help !

Rod, good seein ya the other month. I'll never forget the time we were up pod & i'd litterly spent all me dosh on runs (like Ł25 for 3 runs) think i'd done about 9 or something & my last one was 13.04. You were adament i'd get into the 12's & sent me off to the sign on booth with Ł25 out of you pocket so i'd do it ! I was absolutly gobsmacked @ your genorosity & faith that i'd do it ! I'll never forget that & so glad i didn't disapoint wiht a 1st run of 12.94, then 12.88 & finally 12.81 !

That was the day Lee (Tib) & me were just goin for it (I won ) wouldn't happen now tho

Making a horrible rattle @ about 3k, but engine still runnin as sweet as a nut, along with oil pressure & coolent temp. Me & Chip thought it might of been a lifter or cam cap, but they all look sweet !

Yeah the last one was as Pops says 418 but had a graph from SCA that she was 375 @ wheels so this one's a little more power at the wheels plus all the weight saving so makes for much fun

Zoe darlin, it had been a vely vely loooong year ! LOL Finally finished it, me brother painted it, but he got the wrong colour paint (yes he's a bigger donut as you say ) so should be gettin the paint paint today to re do the bumpers & doors but i have a nasty feeling i've done the bottom end !

Did you run standard diffs in LYA? (Think you secretly had a fetish for replacing them!) Do you think there will be much difference in strength between a quaife and the ZF plated diff your running? (Did you keep the ZF diff in the end?)

yeah love it here john, much better life for us and the kids
silly things like the kids being able to play out now, we only live 70 yards from the beach and 50 to the lakes so cant complain.
somethings i miss, like friends and so on but as a whole i wouldnt want to move back.
i dont care what any one says, the old days where the best. and its nothing to do with getting older, we just used to have more fun. it was a lot more social back then, going down the mad mile, taking trips to norfolk on a school night, cutting cliff the can man up and telling his misses to fuck off
met so many good friends though the car clubs its unreal, true friends aswell.
if you do come other john, give us a pm mate, melbourne is only a 11 hours drive, will have a decent car by then aswell, not sure whether to go v8 and work it or staight 6 4.0 and turbo'd lol
pips hill was always good fun, think wapster has the video of that night,lol

Rich, gonna have a look at her later in the week at some point, got 2 possibilitys at the mo, big end or clutch/flywheel related. The noise is engine speed related & doesn't differ if pressing the clutch. Also oil pressure looks fine, would of thought your'd get a drop if a big end/main had gone ! Box is noisey anywayz, so gonna rip it out have a look see if nothin adrift then the lumps gonna have to go back on the stand & come apart ! Was starting to save for a bigger turbo aswell !

Can't believe the fella i bought it off never had a single issue with the engine & i drove it 4 times & this ! Must be me !
