I did start a thread ages ago but can't find it
This is the car as I bought it from the MG racing auction..

As you can see it was yellow originally

here's the Audi engine trial fitted

the original brakes

Added some VW golf vents into the bonnet to aid cooling in the turbo area

Decided to return it to yellow!

It's going to need to stop..

the wheels

The bulkhead modified to accept the modded bias pedal box

electric power steering

Engine and gearbox test fit

Rover alternator on Audi engine

Adaptor plate Audi engine to Rover gearbox

Clutch plate

clutch cover (anyone know what wording has been ground off it?)

Rover sized flwheel with Audi bolt pattern

New spherical bearing top mounts made and Leda strut

Adjustable TCA

Will bolt it all together over Christmas..

nice one! Is it for 'personal use' or customer? I like it with the rover wheels - if it had tinted windows (like they all seem to round here) you wouldn't see the cage and it'd be a real sleeper

Have you looked into big hp 20vt motors cause ther dont seem to be many people that have done much more than the ihi 330bhp conversions
I have just aquired a gt30 for mine but obviously ant to do intrnal mods ie crank rods ppistons and head work. Just wondered if you can source the bits or if you know the right places to start looking
Cheers Mark

I know 350 is atainable but i have the moto of do it right do it once. I'm wanting a bullet poof engine to start with with circa 400bhp.
I know people use je pistons and been recomeded some make of rods but i'm just worried about the crank and not sure what cr to go for?????????????
I dont want it to low that its wank off boost but not to high that boost is limited

whats been done with the clutch/flywheel to take up the thickness of that adaptor plate? id assume if you just bolted it in between and didnt do anything else, the input shaft on the box wouldnt make proper engagment with the clutch and neither would the release bearing?
very interesting car!

so i guess you just made the 'offset' from crank mating face to cluch mating face bigger by the thickness of that plate? could that be done safely with a spacer between crank and flywheel you recon? or a spacer welded to the flywheel? just thinking aloud etc as ive always wanted to use a honda VTEC lump in a fiesta, might be in a financial psoition to do it later next year so is handy to see stuff like this in pctures to understand exactly how its done!
