Starting earlier on the prep for shows next year!
The one part my RS was really lacking in was the engine department. It has a bit of poke but visually it was lacking. I'm not a proper bufty, but a like a nice, clean, painted engine so started on mine and will be ongoing through winter. Painted engine, added some hose/wire covers, gave it a clean up and also polished the oil cap myself, took me over an hour (I think i'm mad) but saved me money and gave me a sense of achievement when it was done lol
Before

After 8 hours today...

Tomorrow's job is spraying the wheel centre caps black and then blacking off the green stripe so there's a few less colours floating about, so i'll update the post then!
Thanks,
Michelle

Definetly- could have spent another 8 hours there.
When people ask why I bother doing it...that's why! Great sense of achievement and hopefully an improvement at the end of your work lol

Looks really good..... just needs little finishing touches like new rocker cover bolts and carge carrier bolts.... little things like that will really finish the job off

Hehe, I like the green stripe but I want the car to look a bit more 'simple' and subtle and at the moment it seems to be a mix of colours.
Only taping off the stripe, so if I don't like it- it can come straight off

Getting dark tonight but took some pics anyway (sorry, they arn't the best)
Doesn't really show how it looks very wel- I think the black stripe works- I love it! Didn't have enough primer to do the wheel centre caps so I've left them for now...
