I'm looking at renting a garage locally, i have found a number of garages I think are owned by the council, its difficult to get any info from them, so I wondered what people pay to store their cars/ tools or whatever in a garage.

 

I was renting a large single garage with electric last year mate for my Cossy was paying the guy Ł50 per month

 

My mate renting a garage for his escort while moving house, rented it off a old women,, had no power paid Ł10 a week! only used it for a month tho!!

 

7pw no power near us.

Ł7 per week - council garage to keep all my spares in!!!

No electric but I've rigged up a floodlight with a LONG lead that gets its power from my 12v ciggy lighter my car!!!

 

10pw off the council here but tha garage is big could put a transit in it n open the door no power but i have a generator in it so no worries

 

Ł7 per week,got 3 cos there so cheap one has power that we've put in our self. One for each car.

 

was there a waiting list? do I just contact my council housing department??

I've been on the council list for 3yrs or more now and still nothing had a letter 2/3 mounths ago asking if we wanted one as there was some coming up to rent but heard fook all since
Also there terms and condison are ONLY STORAGE FOR A CAR WHICH IS FULLY ROAD WORTHY IE TAX MOT'd ect ect But do whot others do and dont worry about that bit lol


i have a garage now off a Building Company which we rent are house off and its Ł10 awk but is Bone Dry and not tooooooooo small

 

Ł20 a month here

 

i rent a building that will take around 18 cars if it had no other
items in there tools etc

i have 12 cars in there now and there is electric there i pay Ł200 month
plus a big yard that have another 6 cars in

 

ive got a double garage with leccy and room for a work bench! my dads not happy as he wanted to put his car in it and i pay Ł160pm (inclueds bedroom/food/and other bill did i forget to say its my parents place? )

 

my mates mum has a farm house but she's no farmer so i have a barn there with more than enough space i could get about 3 cars in it with heating & electricity

it also has a loft thing with a setee & tv

60quid a month so its well handy

ask th local farmers that you would be willing to pay them?

it would be better if you knew them cos theres allot that wouldnt want loud engines in there garden
