Got informed by my employer that I've failed a drug and alchohol test

I'd understand if it was alchohol As I have a few beers now and then, but I don't touch drugs.... Nor, do I sit around with anyone who does, inhaling the smoke.....

Which brings me to the depressing bit, in order to sort it out I have to attend the Base Physician at the Naval Base on saturday morning to get fully tested for Drugs and Booze meaning I'm going to miss the trip to the 'Ring

Totally gutted. NOT going would mean dismissal, hence I have to. There's obviously been some kind of cock up (normal when you work for Her Maj) but of all the times to have a cock up

When I find who has fucked up my results I'll be paying em a visit

you might have been spiked rab, might sound daft, but a freind of a freind had a job where he needed drug testing, he failed, never touched drugs in his life, couldnt understand it, then a few mounths later, a guy who was his so called 'freind', admited he'd slipped a bit of something in one of his drinks.

In all seriousness uve prob been spiked and didnt know it in saying that uve stated that you areant around anyone who smokes it so i assume uve tested positive for cannabis?

Yesterday when I found out I was annoyed because I was missing the 'ring trip. Now I'm properly scared I HAVE drugs in my system.


I'll know for sure at 10:30 tomorrow...... Going to get my blood tested.

i to have random tests ( railway worker ) dont touch a thing

i'd have been proper stressed in your situation (kmowing im inosent, job, holiday booked etc), so much i'd be visiting my doctor 1st thing monday, telling him im stressed, and was unable to sleep properly, = atleast a month off

Depends on quantity consumed, the drug in question and the type of test conducted.

Some drugs dont show up in the Armed Forces drug screening. Cant say here as that would be innappropriate, but not all drugs tests are foolproof as Rabs case has proved.

As in his case a urine test was failed yet a blood test was passed. Certain drugs can also be detected in hair samples.

I was going to offer advice to RAB but he got a good result so its not needed, but I failed a drug test once because I was given ephedrine (legitimately by medical staff) to open my nasal passages for pressurised training and that shows up as an illegal substance. there was no trace of ephidrine in my medical records due to an admin fuck up, so i was in deep shit for a while until the exact person who administered it could be contacted and comfirm what happened.

Bloody good job he remembered me as well, as the SETT when busy can get loads of people through for training in a short period and id be well pissed off if my career was fucked due to somebodies forgetfulness!!!!

 

In simpilar words from what Warren said, i believe its 12 weeks that cannabis can be detected in the blood for, depending on quanitity and duration.....
