Right last week the car went bang in a pretty big way coming home on friday night
so ive decided to whip the engine out and rebuild it. Was gonna do a efi conversion anyway and looking at the engine bay i have scractched the paint in some places so wanna sort that.
so first things first plannin on pulling the engine out in the next couple of week and gettin some bit chromed up before i start on the rebuild. mite take a while but i will get there in the end. I hope
As most of you have seen the car anyway i wont bother boring you with loads of pics but will put them up if anyone wants to see

Right then guys and gals!!!
Been hard at work on my original block now its out the car ive found that there is no hole in the side of it, so it was sold to a friend of mine. Part of the deal was i take everything i need off it and then we agree a price.
so witht the parts that ive been saving i have been hard at work on the buffty wheel. Cant tell you what exactly ive been polishing as im in competition with someone on here. but here is a small sample of my work

it was a standard one so decided to save a bit of money and polish it up instead of buyin a chrome one. any comments welcome please tell me what you think
oh and ps the new block gets in in less than 2 weeks. cant wait

Been really busy this weekend got my new block and bottom end set up. Had to work Saturday so was trying to get parts ordered while i was in the office and had some spare time.
When the block arrived i immediately hated the colour. bright red!!!! as my engine is chrome / silver and blue i thought red would look odd. So i went out and got some high temperature silver paint. I was rubbing down and spraying until 9 last night then i had to go out.
Started applying some of the ancillaries today and got the oil pump, water pump and tensioner bolted on. Put the bottom pulley on for looks at the moment as i need to get it machined down. Hopefully a mate through work is gonna be able to take some material off to give me some more clearance against the bodywork.
Oh and sent the cam back to kents for inspection as its knackered and a new head has been sent to good ol ian howl who is gonna do some work on it for me.
Any way gonna get some pics of what it all looks like up on the net a bit later as camera is on charge.
finally its coming together. speaking to flashpoint (steve) as well to when he can fit in the car to have the loom modified for EFi.

Just a quick update!!
Last week Kent Cams finally got back to me on my cam and have agreed to exchange my cam for a new one including everythin in the kit, which is a right result. Thanks to Del at Kent Cams for being understanding.
Ian Howl will now have everything to complete the work to the head so will hopefully recieve that back in the next few days.
Ordered up some more new parts from Alex zvh cabrio. Again massive thanks to him as i know work has been really busy for him at the mo with staff shortages and all. Always manages to make time for me so cheers if you read this mate!
Also Alan and Roy at Auto Specialists are putting the finishing touches to my parts being sorted by them in the week so can pick them up one day this week if i mange to get time.
Picked up my lower pulley wheel as well on friday wich has been machined thinner, as there were mixed thoughts whether there would be enough clearance or not so decided not to risk it and just get it done. Can only make changin the cam belt easier when it needs to be done.
So this week looks like it could see some major progress with the engine build.
Then the only things to do are the loom adaptments and just tidy the engine bay up. polish, paint, clean.
One area i am stuck on is getting the new fiesta turbo engine loom spliced into my current series 2 loom. Does anyone on here know how to do this? If so would you be interested in coming round for a few quid and doing it for me? Please send me a PM if interested. but please be aware i want it to be a proper professional job. last thing i want is the thing having an electrical problem.

Yeah popped over to Auto Specialists yesterday Alex and picked them up after i saw you. Not too happy with the throttle body but i can sort that out on the buffer. Appart from that Alan and Roy did a top job.
Just have to rebuild the inlet now as they had to take it all appart for the dipping. will get some pics up tonight as the camera was on charge last night.
