Default E5CDS - You break it, you uprate it!!!

The cars been off the road now for some time after track action took its toll on the old girl. With more leaks than the local green grocers and a rather nasty creek from the drivers front corner its been sitting waiting for some attention.

The car in question:

After National day this year its motivated me to get the car up and running again, most of the bits are here its just a case of getting them all bolted together now.

The bonnets now up and ready for tinkering:

Heres a quick pic of the engine as it is now:

First job was to find a new bottom end to work with:

New pistons with 0.5 oversize:

New crank:

All pieced together waiting on the head getting bolted on:

200 Block
Block is wirerung
Brand new 0.5mm Mahle Pistons
WRC High Pressure Spec Oil Pump & WRC Spec Water Pump from msport
Brand New Ford Bearing Fitted Mains & Big-Ends
ARP Big-End Bolts
Machined Flat 4x4 Flywheel & New Bolts Fitted
Also PAS Pump & Alternator & 4x4 Sump fitted & 4x4 Distributor

New turbo also for fitting:

T34 Hybrid with 55 exhaust housing

Carbon heat shield to keep it under cover:

Full new set of gaskets for Head including GP A head gasket:

ARP stud and nut kit for better clamping pressure:

New GPA Motorsport Ignition System and uprated GGR timing belt:

Uprated Fuel pump for new spec, current one also very very noisey!!!

and lastly a set of the new collins Alloy engine mounts...very bling bling and no i have no intentions of keeping them that way

About time you got some stuff done........

by the time this is finished you'll not need to find someone to drive it for you!!

Love the title mate!

Car looks great and will definately go nicley with the new block! What sort of power are you hoping for?

If you have a look at google video's your car is on there with some strip action at crail I think!

Keep up the good work!

About time Holty, looks like your going for a similar spec to mine. You decided on cams yet? Will need to give you a shot of mine, if your through at the rolling road day next month.

Plans are to get rid of all the bling and go for stealth look with alloy tanks and cam cover all redone. changing wheels to anthracite aswell

Looks much harder on the grey wheels.

Spec is going to be to Karl's NMS Stage 4 and will get it taken there for live mapping once built and should see around 380bhp/370lbf ft.

Old stage 3 spec done a 12.6 at crail with 110mph terminal

Looks with the anthracite wheels, totaly changes the car. Should be a nice car to drive with that level of power. Mine made 360bhp/330lbft the other day on the rollers but never reached full boost so should be similar to what your expecting, the mapping makes the car.
