next up will be fitting the brakes. goin for cossie set up all round, 4x4 callipers, 2wd discs. wil get more pics soon, especially of outside wen spoiler comes back from bodyshop.

 

looks very nice mate, what you running l6 l8??? whats the engine spec???

cheers mate the whole shell was resprayed prior to engine etc goin in which was taken from my grey rs turbo i had. yea, im gona be running a l6 with pectel board, with all the cossie management stuff. block is pretty standard apart from a piper cam. turbo is a stage 2 hybrid with 48 exhaust housing and -31 actuator. i was thinkin of coil pack and different injectors but that can be summit i do later.

got my 3bar from woodfords at ford fair, just gotta get few more hoses (ancillary) from roose, my chip and pectel board, then its start up time!!

 

ive got a l6 board with pectel for my xr2 but now im getting l8 with pectel

 

cool stuff. let us know if ya decide to sell the l6 pectel board

my l6 with pectel board is chipped and set up with greens mate. this l6 came out of my mates erst.

 

ah right, well nearer the time i will consider if i see yous for sale if i havent got one myself in the mean time. would be a perfect excuse for me to upgrade to greens hey

what you running the 1800cvh bottom pully, oddkidd conversion???? also are you running the efi inlet spacer plate???

yea, i will do mate. this one is quite early stage pic of outside..

then, i put headlights in etc. glass went in aswell just before. really annoying coz i got all brand new rubber seals and weatherstrips which are genuine ford and where they put like a chalk substance on it b4 they package them , my front screen rubber has this gluey crap all over it so looks old. just doesnt wana come off very well at all. all the underneath and wheel arches were striped and re-undersealed but its a shame the bodyshop didnt then paint it red, so that might be summit for me to have done this winter. parts underneath have been powder coated or sprayed hammerite red, but i feel i wana do more also at a slightly later stage. petrol tank was sprayed red by bodyshop. gearbox cradle was done by hand and already has chipped off a bit to reveal the colour it once was underneath so maybe a job to have done v soon is to have it powdercoated like the rear suspension legs have been. its no where near as mint as cars that have a nut and bolt rebuild but it is ultra clean and excellent and will only improve over the next few months.

cheers mate, i should get spoiler bk next friday, just need to find some genuine new spoiler bolts from somewhere. they are 2 sizes and ford can only get one size now gotta get all the brakes put on, then i can bung me rs7s on. think it wont see hardly any road this yr tho coz by time its all done i reckon bad weather will start to be upon us, so it may well stay off road in garage and i can then improve on more bits etc

nah, will be keepin this for a little while yet for sure. ive got plans of how ive always wanted my perfect rs turbo. ive always wanted a red 90spec turbo with a chrome rear cage and half leather lol. then as ive been lookin at other projects u just get more and more ideas of how your perfect car would be. i love twins interior on his where every bit of plastic has been flocked, makes it so more inviting to look at etc.

the plan is to have the pick up sprayed by my cousin on the IOW then when i go to get it, take my fiesta for him to spray also

a few months hopefully, and they'll be swpping places on my drive

i was saying to the misses today, the xr2 handles wicked and goes well too, a lary turbo'd lump under the bonnet must be awesome... a little go kart

 

that red s2 looks really smart. i always did love them on voodoos, thats another thing i always imagined my perfect rst to have but then i started seeing the rs7on them in the last couple years so i got some diamond cuts

i hate it when u see old cars uve perviously owned and loved and the new owner has buggered them right up lol. i had a realy smart black escort si which was on 17inch voodoos etc, was so smart and subtle and absolutely mint yet new owner has crashed it about 3times since having it

 

yeah i aint seen any of my old car about, i would like to see them though
