Got my Stg3 head back, skinned, reseated valves etc etc,so thats 1 thing out the way..Found that that exhaust manifold was cracked,so had to get a new 1.. (MASSIVE THANKS TO WHIPPY)!!!!!!!!!!

Also got myself a gordini turbo oil cooler,so theres going to be alot of repiping going on,but thats what i wanted...

The bores and pistons are in FANTASTIC condition,so im VERY happy about that...

A cool car with such a bad reputation. Only because people used to wind the bleed valves up themsleves
These cars are the quarter mile kings of front wheel drive

Great little car, im sure it wont dissapoint, I would have taken the engine out and done the clutch seeing as you have gone as far as you have, clutch is a git with everything in place, unless you know its ok of course.

anyway heres a pic of my old one.

also hopefully im not teaching you to suck eggs but make sure you bleed the coolant system properly, (header tank up high etc) or you will be doing the head gasket again in the very near future.

Nice little cars the 5GTT. My mate had one running some nice power but it kept popping head gaskets thanks to a knackered acutator diaphram

Looked nice though
Good luck with it mate

RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not touched the car for AGES,as been busy with the band, and havnt had funds,as lent a mate 2k,and im havin aMARE gettin it back!! But its gettin sorted now...

RIGHT..............

Car now runs,(or have i already said that? and to be honest, sein as its all new, runs like a dream!!!

Ive gone for a pro alloy FMIC set up,as i want act`s and intake temps as low as poss,as all you ex 5 owners will know,is there BIG down side!!!

Been told the cooler will be here tomorrow (touch wood) So ive been to get myself some new pipes to remount my cossie airfilter at the front where the old IC used to sit..

Had my mates mate, make me a section to join the 2 hoses (1 60,and 1 70),and looks really good, sein as it took him less time to make it,as it did for me to light a fag,and get half way down the fucker!!!

Ive sorted out too,a few electrical problems i had,ie windows/central locking..So now at least in therey EVERTHING works..

Somthis is how it stands tonight....

Ive been preping as many of the bits as i can at work,ie kit/bumpers.Took the back bumper off tonight, and the little sections on top of the rear lights...

My aim is now to have it painted, and all running for the end of the month, had enough of it just sitting there,so wanna pull my finger out,as i have this,AND the CBR6 just sittin there doing nothing..

So this thread will be updated alot more now ive got my incentive back..

Pete..
