Default FAO: Alarm fitters/experts

My alarm has been playing up since the really hot weather started. Earlier on I felt the alarm unit and it was roasting hot (as everything else under the bonnet was) and just wondered if its the extreme heat thats causing it not to respond to the remote (fitted new batteries to both remotes this afternoon btw)?

Cam, Electronics dont like heat above about 50 to 70 C.

Could be your alarm could have been warmed up by air flow in the engine
bay coming from the radiator warming up air that is already over 30 deg C.

Let it cool naturally and it will probally recover and may need
completely powering off (Vehicle battery and internal battery if fitted)

I was mortified how hot the casing had got and think it needs relocating. I hope the fault isn't permanent.

I hate Cliffords. They always have a mind of their own.
