Default Rocker Cover Gasket Fitment?

Just about to fit a new rocker cover gasket to my 1.1HCS - anything specail i need to remember to do or is it a simple replacement job? I assume no sealant is required?

Makesure both surfaces are clean/smooth, no deposits.

place the gasket on, either rocker cover or head, whichever has a groove

makesure it's still in place all the way round once everything is in place

tighten bolts working your way from middle to outer edges

check for leaks

forget about it for another few years

Cheers guys - car will be fully sorted tommorrow bar fueling tho

vroooom ptssssh - dave, come a few years time there'll be a turbo lump in there instead.

You coming along to the Glasgow meet this Sunday?

Shocking should be changed every 10k thats if you carry out valve clearence adjustment during service !
