There was never officially a cab RST but I do remember hearing that Ford built a handful of Mk4's in about '89-90. I also recall seeing a few ads in Autotrader at the time for genuine RST cabs.
The Tennis Cabrio was NOT an RST, just an all white special edition.
the tenis cabrio was almost a all white mk4 with whte roof, full electrics and half leather recaros but it had green inserts all over it, xr3i mouldings ( cabrios had thinner ones i belive that want colour coded) and green tennis rackets on the boot ( which i took off but i may look to get some more as i think i like em now.) also had a green pinstripe too ,,,,,,,,,, its alsocheaper to insure than a xr3i cabrio cause its a level below and also dont gain the claims excess i was told
ps: i own a tennis cabrio and its gonna be turboed again, does that count
ford NEVER made a turbo cabrio to be sold to the public so NO they NEVE made one !!!!
if a ford dealer coverted one or built one from old parts/rehelleds a rs into a cabrio its still not a rs turbo cabrio and not accepted by rs owners club nor insured as a official one
yeah, they MUST have, ignore the fact that someone going into a dealership got handed a car that accidently had an intercooler and turbo and different pipework etc, that could easily slip the net and is FAR more likely than your mate is talking shit
The made an RST kitted one didnt they. Was it called all blue? It had the sliver bottom half and the metallic blue top half. There was a limited run of them.
