To be fair, you could see the Vectra was being driven to "prove a point", so to speak - Same way the Astra VXR was.

It was the next car down behind the Focus ST! A fraction of a second slower than the car Clarkson and everyone wanks off over!
Its a load of bollocks, just like the rest of Top Gear, he WELL overdid the thing saying how bad it was!
Its a "safe" car, its not made to be a track car, and it clearly aint slow if it went round almost as fast as everyones fave Focus ST...

so supposidly has more power etc.
the car it compairs to is a mondeo ST.. which is what top gear did
and it got shit on

the Ferrari 575
focus ST is 4 or 5 places above and is 0.4 of a second behind the mondeo ST.

Don't forget the Focus ST was timed on a wet track and not a dry one like the Vectra.
