When putting the engines ancilleries back on (Manifolds, water pump thermostat housing etc) Obviously you use the relevent gasket but do you also use a sealer? I've noticed orangy paste around most of the parts on my new engine.

Whats the recommended sealer for Cosworth engines?

Mate mine had both.......

But i'm also interested to find out the best sealant, as i have a tube of Hypomar(spl) is this good stuff?

(PS if it is Paul, they sell it in car spare's! )

 

stick a bit of Bue Hylomar on em

you wont go far wrong

but dont ove do it otherwise it fills thw holes & restricts flow
or breaks away & goes round systems

use Welseal - MUCH better
