They are all Rialtos. Theheader tank was only fitted to the late Robin Mk2's. VERY RARE to find one with a header tank lol.

Well its been that kind of year again. Had knee problems and had an operation and its now i have realised how much we take for granted with joints etc and i have a much renewed respect for life. Just before christmas i went round a mates place to find a MINT and i mean mint saph shell in his back yard sat on a trailer. Was stripped bare but being as mint as it was i couldnt resist it. I had everything to fix the moonstone blue shell but couldnt get the motivation to start it. The day i came out of my operation the shell arrived. I was soon taken to see it andcoldnt wait to begin work on it.
The knee

Couldnt work on the shell for 2 weeks so was ordering parts and spending money lol
Managed to win a rear beam complete on eBay for £150 in london so picked that up and started to clean it up.

Got my front suspension assembled and gve the hubs and discs a quick clean and coat of paint.

And as for the new shell, here it is,

She really is mint.
Some new bits for here and more on order

As of today, Dash is in, rear beam is in, front cross member is in, all suspension is on and steering on. She is now fully rolling and will be coming on the lift monday to be waxoiled underneath.
The old shell is being collected soon by someone in somerset. Will be being restored by him now as i dont have the time/energy to do it.

the new 1 is in very nice condition mate
top find there mate.
whats with all the cars then?was they projects at one time & you just could'nt get the motivation to start them aswel lol.

OMG its only been 5 months since an update, well 5 months since ive done much LOL.
Well managed to source a rear beam complete on the bay for £150 so that got all cleaned up and painted. I then got the shell rolling with lots more new bits from ford.
I should have a personal account manager there now ive spent so much
Then sorted the doors from the old shell and put them on the new shell. Not bothered about the colour difference for now as will take the car to the bodyshop once its running to get them sprayed.
Got the wiring sorted with the cat1 cobra removed from the old shell and refitted to this one.
Dash is now all in with all the switches in. Had to change the heater core as the old one has a pipe snapped off from when the last owner broke the car for bits.
Got the gearbox and engine in today, fantastic feeling seeing it all in. Then got new handbrake cable on, prop on and started to fit the engine bay out. Got some blue silicone hoses, 4x4 intercooler and lots of other goodies inc bailey breather system,
Forgot to take camera into work today but will take some pics tomorrow.

Done some more this week, nearly ready to start. Proper nervous and excited at the same time
Its all in now, just got to sort the alternator terminal cos the last pillock cut it off
Just need the ignition amp, dizzy and a water pipe or two so really chuffed
This is how the bay looks as of tonight.

And the underneath, fuel pump cradle now all in and plumbed up

WOOP WOOP, SHE RUNS!!!!
Tabetha came over today with a replacement ECU and after a few trns she fired up! Tappets rattled their tits off but other than that she was fine. Adjusted the idle and Mixture till she ran fine. Then 1 of my new plugs gave up the ghost. Took her back and new ones here monday.
Apart from that she seems to be fine. Just cant wait to be able to drive her out the workshop now.
Got leather seats fitted in the back now. Just need to find some for the front!
Will take some pics as soon as i get a chance.
Huge thanks to the people who have helped so far, Tabetha, Boost Mad, Roosie, and the rest

Had a great day, tabetha kindly brought my new pump over last night and then popped over again this morning to recheck the fuel pressue
Sorted the dump valve plumbing out, then went to set the CO up, got it about right, tried to tweek it abit more and fooked it up lol. Got it almost spot on again and then went to go for a test drive and the adapter i made for the header tank popped out so lost me water
Fixed that properly this time and took her for a test drive. Didnt drive her hard, well to be truthful, hardly pushed atall
Lovely sound of the dump valve, got back, and i think the D/V has split its diaphragm or the spring is broken. Will be looking into that tomorrow. Sooooo happy it runs, will put some piccys up tomorrow aswell
