Default Ford based kitcar

I'm posting due to the fact I'll hopefully be wringing information on going off the typical 'Locost' route that everyone does (1.6 Pinto? Sorry, don't like it). I've just got a Vauxhall XE for it, and have sorted the gearbox.

Wishbones, Cortina uprights and Type 9.

Steering rack, etc

It ain't a pretty sight

Exhaust - this currently goes onto the worst manifold I've ever seen in my life.

Car now sits fully rust-treated and tidied up. Seriously, 75% of the car is complete, the back end needs sorting with can be welded on later as a 'part'.

Yeah, I bought it off Rhys, although it was sat on his driveway for a few months because I never got round to shifting it.
The fact that he got the whole chassis professionally tig'd was a massive lift as that's one part I didn't want to do, the amount of measuring really scared me, and a I have a load of metal I bought to do this which I'll use for the back and little parts to strengthen the spaceframe. It's the only part of the whole thing that I'm using, the rest is being replaced. He did a really good job!
