Does anyone know or heard about three 500s stolen last year and one written off?

 

from national day or donnington?

 

Donny? There was some that went missing from there if i recall (not sure if they were all 500's though).

 

Stolen from anywhere in 2005.

 

im sure there were more than 3 RS500s stolen last year.

 

you can gaurantee that they are in bits by now mate! probably passed through ebay as well! you just dont know anymore!

 

only heard about the 3 door that went from national day dont think it was a 500 though but then again it was ages ago

 

Not bothered by what's happened to them, just interested to know if anybody knew about 3 being stolen and 1 written off, as I don't recall seeing any threads about it.

 

thinking about it didnt one that got took from national day get crashed ?

2004 was when i had mine stolen
it was a moonstone saff glad the rs500 was not on the road then !!

Just that an ins co gave out this info to Andy recently, as the reason for not being able to give him a quote on his 500, because of the claims they'd had last year paying out on 3 stolen & 1 written off RS500.

As I'd not heard/read anywhere of any stolen/written off ones, I was just interested to see if anyone else knew.

Fair enough that they don't insure 500s, but why give bullshit reasons if it's not true.

 

Were Bruce Reads and Karl Norris's not last year.. ?

 

Karl's was recovered so doesn't apply and Bruce's was stolen early 2004.

'04 there was one stolen from national day & burnt out, '02 or '03 there were 2 or 3 taken from the Fordfair carpark.

 

If 3 were stolen & 1 written off, I'd have expected some mention of them on here or on RSOC but there isn't. Think what the odds would be on them being all being insured with the same insurance company.....

Nope. Andy has had a very good quote from Boncaster (RSOC Ins) but as you do, he just rang round to see if there were any better quotes going.

Also as a full RSOC member I understand we get free recovery too - do you have the tel number of the company that comes and recovers you

theres a moonstone blue 500 being broken in the parts for sale section - this might be one of them

Also pics of a moonstone with the roof cut off in the 500 section on the RSOC site -although may be one in the same

 

Boncaster did me a good deal on my 3dr

 

That was/is deffo not a genuine RS500 that was broken ................. although it might have been cloned/reshelled/ringed as an RS500

 

the one that went missing at national day had only done around 14,000
mile it was mint as you may know from that mileage, it was involved
in a high speed police chase in birmingham after a hit and run it
wasnt a 500 only a 3 door and this was in 2004
