Planning our wedding for end of next year. We want summat quiet with about 20-30 people and then a big piss up after.
We were gona go abroad but have decided against (due to money and family not being able to come)
So, any ideas what else we can do or any nice venues? Gretna Green looks nice and has a bit of a laugh to it - quite cheap too.

i would go to a venue that you and everyone else is really going to remember, something thats not too expensive but takes your breath away if you know what i mean. if your only having a few people then no doubt you can go out of your local area and stay somewhere for the night? or are you wanting to stay more local?

For the piss up you thought about hiring a tennis/bowling club or something like that, you pay for the room hire which is cheap and the beers dirt cheap brings the overall cost down.. or more to spend on the dress or the place where you want the service

 

going abroad to get married more often than not is faaaaaaarrrr cheaper than staying inthis country.

we married im mauritius, fookin great, 2 weeks in the sun, fook everybody who couldnt afford to go , you only get married once, supposed to be the biggest event between TWO people.

i just said to the everyone, we're going abroad to get married, gave them the date, said if you want to be there , be there, if not see you when we get back no free-loaders, no hangers-on, no long lost aunties/uncles that you havent seen for 20 years, why the fook should i pay for everyone to have a day at at my expense ?? !!!

cost us less than 5K for 2 weeks all in - in paradise
