Default How much do you get for whiplash??

in december i was a passenger in my fiancee's car when we were hit from behind. We both have claims in but was wondering how much a passenger is likely to get on a pay out?

Cheers

i got about Ł1400 a few years ago, was checked out by the docs and accepted the first thing they offered me.

wish i had held out for more now as i still suffer from a bad neck and i often trap a nerve etc.

although it could party be due to playing american football too as you quite often clash heads in that lol

i should really go see a chiropractor (sp) as something deffo aint right

100% varies on the circomstances and your solicitor, some ppl get and accept 1k but usually its around the 2k mark as a figure.

Mine started off at 2500, then 7500, then got settled this year for alot more than that

When I used to work for an insurance company the usual pay out for whiplash was around 2500-3500 give or take.

My missus got Ł1500 for her whiplash injury, I feel it's a joke as she was genuinely hurt and still suffers now with effects from it yet some piss takers who are just out to make a quick buck get twice that

I would put in a claim for the amount of money you would have earned during your period off work, if you got sick pay during that time then i wouldnt claim at all. Were all car enthusiasts here and weve all made mistakes, dont make someone elses premium soar due to your bullshit claim.

Sure thats not the case here thou!

I was off work 2yrs from mine and had 2 re-train for 9months b4 i got my current job. Finally after 4yrs i got a settlement which covered 2yrs loss of earning plus the whiplash claim! Still have probs with my neck thou but have learnt to live with it

I got hit from behind in feb at about 40-50mph and still feel problems with my neck and lower back. I had a week of work and had to return as I was not in the job that long. Claim is ongoing.

Think Helen either got 4-5k suppose it depends on the circumstances .....

But she is still suffering now and having to pay for her own private treatment.
