Just had a look at the track layout on the Croft website.It looks like 4 straights linked by a few corners.Would it be fair to say that this track benefits big BHP power cars as opposed to nimble good handling cars????Regards Micky

 

I have drove croft a few times and it certainly isn't just a power cuircuit the complex for one is very technical and needs to be treated with respect, for the jim clark esses you need steel balls to take them flat out without a lift

overall a very nice circuit, I am on track with my new track car an xr4x4 also on track with me are 3 friends with a honda fireblade powered kit car,nissan 200 and an rs2004x4

I have done croft before now, and you ideally need something with excellent turn in and MASSIVE brakes. I really enjoyed it in my old Skoda Fabia vRS - but the excessive weight over the front wheels meant there was lots of screeching tyres.







But as has been said enjoy it, but be careful

Fun circuit!!

Flat out from tower bend to sunny in, only got to 85mph for the start of the esses.

Hard on the brakes as I managed to get pad fade on my FRP brakes which ain't good especially as they are almost new.

And I went for a grass cutting mission when the brakes faded on sunny in.

I'm hoping to fit to my sapphire:bilstein coilovers, group a rear beam,metro 6r4 ap's,aircraft grade alloy tension struts and proper ford diff mount,all rose jointed and solid mounted,and if i have enough dollar left some slicks.
Team brigsport will include;the above mentioned crystal blue saff,306 gti 6 and m3.We are in the amateur section.
What type of helmet do we need to bring?

But it will get sorted out even if i have to resort to taking the TT kit off and running as a V6 like last year

 

is the map sensor fooked or has it not got one due to being a tt.

 

dont think it has one mate .
Fitted a fresh v6 in december and the TT single turbo conversion ,cooler turbo ,modified metering unit with profile block,crossover pipe, one off zorst,plenum with over boost switch .Just the dizzy was missing (needs larger retard mod)
Ran fine for 200miles then all of a sudden it started to cough and splutter till it choked up,change the plugs and it was fine for 5 mins then the same again

Been too buisy sorting out my 3 door to have a good look the last 2 months ,but will have to be sorted soon as we have a track night on the 24 th of next month up here to do
