hi .know there are a couple of 325i owners on this site.Just wondered what air filters you are running.Got a k&n cone on mine but have read conflicting advice as to wether they are any better tha bmw originals,know they sound good but do they increase hp and if so to what cost to engine if any,After all bmw were a company run by engineers not accountants so are there own filters better.

 

put a cone on my bm, and it ran like a sack of shit,...the cone was aquired in a deal, so didnt stand me at owt, so on ebay it went


in my experience, it was gay

 

Mine came with it already on Carl,but the more i hear the more im convinced to ditch it.Espically now i know there gay.

Yes all e30 m3's are lhd...

 

I ran a K&N on my 325I for years with no troubles and it was very quick for basically standard.

 

My old 325i sport had a K&N on it, binned it in favour of the original airbox and the engine performed better

Danny did you ever try the original filter?.

 

yes i had it from completely stock, scrpion exhaust and the K&N took it from mid 16sec 1/4's to a best 15.01@92mph anyone who knows me well will remember my old E30.

 

will have to try alo in mine.got a scorpian on it but standard airbox.dont think it feels as quick as my old rs and that only managed a 15.1 so dont fancy my chance getting near it
