probably the wrong place really.
My splitter / stone deflector and hockey sticks could all do with a re-paint. I want them to look as original as possible when done & obviously I don't want the paint to crack etc...
1. What is the best primer to use?
2. What colour / finish looks closest to standard ( a paint code would help..)
Thanks guys....

Ive done mine and my mates.
Take all parts of the car. Flat all the old stone chips out useing 400 into 800 to give it a good key. Use plasticote primer. Then flat agen only slightly. Then use satin black but give it a good 5/6 coats.

Ok well i used a normal grey primer (i think) and satin matt black spray with some laquer just for protection. The hockey sticks i didnt do a mate took them off me and did them for us which is why they are slightly different but i think it works quite well, they started as carbon fibre ones which looked crap as they were damaged.

Well done
a mate of mine who does bodywork showed me he uses a glue which is sprayed on to the plastic, let to dry and then painted as it saves the paint flaking off or stone chipping easily...
