How about getting one for a rs2000. and drilling the strut brace to match the turret? Means you wont have to touch the car and just modify the SB

if your not going to drill and fit it correctly its not worth fitting one! the ones that bolt to the top of the turrets are shite anyhow, if you want one you need a group a one

Tend to agree as much as I'd love to have one without drilling, a non-drilled one would be crap. I heard the esc cos is strengthened in the front more than the saph and three door anyway so I'm going to go without.

ok so its not going to be as good as a group A one but it will help a little bit as your still adding a solid brace between the struts!

Surely, if you're using the original strut mounting nuts to secure the strut brace, then all you will be doing is putting extra stresses on the shock absorber itself. I thought the idea of a strut brace was to reduce the amount the strut tops moved under hard cornering, so the strut brace needs to be fitted rigid to the body. I wouldn't have thought it would do your shockers/top mounts any good at all

Thats what I thought, although most rear braces ive seen do just bolt straight to the strut tops.

I dont see a problem with drilling the body really as long as its going to stay on there.

Although in your case cahzz, I can see what you mean, with your car being totally standard and original. Id definalty leave that as it is.

FFS!! - a strut brace fitted to the top of the struts would have an adverse affect on the handling! the car would drive like a bag of shit! - if you don't want to drill – don’t fit one. I am sure that there are a lot of guys here that have a rear but do not run a front - Mike R included (if I remember correctly). The escos shell is actually strengthened around the front struts anyway. I only have a rear strut brace but if I was going to get one the type to get is the group A one like rsdene has.
