Default S1 RS Turbo, requires some work

S1 Turbo for sale, C reg, 1985, we bought this car last year with the intention of building a track day car as an advertisment for MEFmotorsport parts. Unfortunately so far we havn't been able to find enough time to work on the project so it's never got off the ground!

Basically it needs a full restoration although that depends upon what you actually want to do with it! I was intending to just make it usable for the track, not a mint show car so I was never intending to do a full restoration anyway.

A lot of work has been done already (by previous owners), strips have been welded along the inner cills, its basicall sound but not pretty! There is some rot around the rear wheel arches under the body kit. It could do with a new front valance. I has S2 seats and the door cards have been re-trimmed in black. The body kit is intact even some spare bits are in it. There are no rear seats or carpet, parcel shelf etc.

It has quite nice 16" wheels, I dont know what model they are, I'll check. The engine is supposedly uprated, cylinder head, cams etc but I can't really be exactly sure. It ran OK and I drove it around the block when we bought it before parking it up at my Mum's place. I think it would probably start with some jump leads etc.

I have MOT's from 1997, the last MOT expired in Nov 2004, the registration number is C321ANE for the anoraks! The recorded mileage, for what it's worth was 37,000. There's loads of reciepts for work & parts etc, recon gearbox, 57i kit, tyres etc.

Anyway it's got to go, my Mum's fed up with storing it and I can't see us getting 'round to fettling it in the near future what with mine & Tony's rallying exploits taking up all of our time!

We're after £1600 for it, no offers, I'm sure its well worth that, it's currently registered in my name and SORN. I have the V5 document here.

I will try and take some pic tomorrow and post them on here.

Hi Daz,

There's not that much interior, I think the dash is OK, the door panels have been re-trimmed in black leather type stuff, 1 pair of fairly decent looking S2 Recaros.
