I have 6pics i need re-sizing to 900x600, they are all 1600x1200 at the moment

however when i put 1 into photoshop and go to re-size it if i put in 900 in the other box it comes up with 675 and if i put 600 in the second box it comes up with 800


please help!

 

Uncheck 'constrain proportions' - of course the pic will be 'squashed up' afterwards..... (i.e. out of proportion)

If you can, resize to 900x675 then lose some of the 'canvas' (pic) to get the overall pic size you want.

If they're 1600x1200

You want to resize to 900x600

You're halfing the 1200 to 600, but NOT halfing the 1600, that needs to go to 800, they it'll be fine, can't do it another way without distorting picture

 

Did it exactly how Bill said and all sorted now
