My S2 is ill

It wont idle and is also smoking, i had the valve stem seals done not too long ago and this stopped the smoking but it has since returned

Any ideas what may be causing this ?? Could it be the seals again ??

Adjusting the idle doesnt seem to do anything either way, it ran for a while earlier, about 5 minutes then just gave up, slowly chugged to a halt. i started it again and it stalled straight away, the only way to make it idle from then on was to hold the accelerator so when i let off it stalled again
