Colin McRae to Star at Castle Combe 14th August 2004
COLIN McRAE TO STAR AT RALLY SUPERCAR DAY
Britain's most successful rally driver, Colin McRae, will make one of his very rare UK appearances at Castle Combe Circuit on Saturday 14 August.
The ex-World Rally Champion will star alongside his brother Alister at the
Rally Supercar Day, the UK's premier rally car show.
Other attractions will include Mitsubishi World Championship team driver Daniel Sola, demonstrating a Mitsubishi Lancer World Rally Car, and the king of left-foot braking and sideways driving, RAC Rally winner Pentti Airikkala.
Precision driving expert Russ Swift and his son Paul will entertain the crowds with 'donut' displays in a pair of matching Mitsubishi Evos, while reigning British Super 1600 Champion Kris Meeke (one of Colin McRae's protŽgŽs), will demonstrate a McRae Motorsport Opel Corsa.
Super 1600 National Rally Champion Andy Gwynne and MG X-Power will offer rally car rides throughout the day and none other than Tony Mason (another RAC Rally winner) will commentate on all the action.
The highlight Feature Stage will boast a host of Group B monsters, ex-works and works-replica rally cars from every era, while the "RAID on Castle Combe" will be an all-new action feature showcasing a display of Rally Raid bikes, quads, cars and trucks.
The 2004 event attractions and activities will, without doubt, make this the biggest and best Rally Supercar Day ever staged.
Admission to the event is just £10 per Adult, with accompanied children under 16 getting in FREE!

Last year was EXCELLENT
Alistair McRae looked like he was having great fun in the Lancer
My only grumble at Combe is the loudspeakers make the commentry annoying rather than useful!
