Hi,

I have a s2 erst with an AP 4 paddle clutch and a mk5 adjustable pedal and improved quadrant.

The problem is I can get the car into gear but it feels as though the clutch should be going down a bit more as its quite tough, which way do I turn the allen key adjuster to bring the clutch pedal out a bit more so in turn its easier to get into gear.

did you cut the rubber bit off of the clutch cable where it goes through the bulkhead???

 

and did you cut the 40/50 mm off the wjite quadrent before you fitted it?

I'm not sure, when the garage fitted the paddle clutch I had a brand new cable fitted so probably not, whys that ?

The mk5 pedal and qaudrant were all fitted by the guy who had the car before me, it was all done properly.

Anyone know which way to turn the adjuster to bring the pedal out further, will this make the ar go into gear easier ?

I am sure that anti clockwise brings it out mate.

But just give iot a try both ways, you will be able to see the difference after just a few turbns
