Well guess what i just bought again and guess what i am going to do with it again
Is 4x4 now and has a lovely 200 blocked Jondell engine straight out of a rally car! complete with P8 ALS,Air to air,WI,light blues etc etc...
Also has a 3.9 rear 2wd diff, proper Bilstein coilovers,a set of slicks and a set of gravel tyres
The bodywork has been tidied as well and another seat and harness have been fitted!

Not sure yet mate as i still have to make a decision on my car
I was thinking of sticking this engine in mine and then selling it but i can't decide as yet!
I am sure a lot of the track orientated bits will be up for grabs such as the extinguishers x2 and slicks, gravel tyres etc etc...
its the mad yellow saph from trax this thing was flying round trax last year

Hi Guys
Yes it was me that sold the shell back to Spadge with the bits I had left over form the GRP A rally car I bought at the end of last year.
RichardPON and Spadge thank you both for your nice comments about me, its a pleasure to exchange projects with decent people. Spadge you don't waste much time! Tony thanks for your note also. I can't believe what a small world it is with a cosworth.
To answer the "why" question that people are asking, ie why did I build most of it and then give up, there is a simple response. I had the parts lying around as they were left over from my escort cosworth project, I intended to sell them in February.
I went on a big snowboarding trip in northern Canada (helicopter boarding all off piste etc) in early February, ran in to a tree and badly broke my upper leg and hip, I have been on crutches etc for 4 months. Over the last 6 weeks I wanted something to take away the boredom whist I was hopping around the house. I saw the shell advertised by Spadge and did the deal to give me something to do with my time.
I am now walking again albeit with a limp and I have gone back to work (5 months off). The engine for my escort project and all the body panels have just been delivered and thus the escort is getting my attention. I had no further need for the sapphire and so I advertised it. It has been in the way the last few days and so I reduced the price and Spadge is the new owner.
Regards
Bob

And to add to the list of previous owners.... Chris King (Mellow) had it when it was white, thought it was shagged, sold it to a mate of Steve Scotts for very little £, it only had a dodgey sensor and flew again
Then went to Dunc???
Should call this car Christine, Spadge
Newts
PS - Bob is very cool to buy bits off (got some wheels n slicks off him years back in the RSOC BB days
) Spadge got a bargain, as usual

"M.A.D. RST" and "furry" you are both wrong in your assumptions!
I am the "bob" that some people have been speaking kindly of in this and other posts.
I am "twocossiebob" on this board and "racecarbob" on the RS board.
I have a 4wd escort cossie race car that is blue and white in a similar colour scheme to the car you are thinking about.
Sorry to put things right, but when nice things were being said about me I just could not sit back and let you think it was someone else.
Thanks
Bob
