arp stud and nut kit erst
just fitted an arp stud and nut kit to my rst torqued bolts in increments of 20lbft until specified torque of 60lbft was acheived and in correct sequence, it didnt say nething about 90 +90 degree turns tho and wonderd does it need it???? dont want to run my motor yet till i know else h gasket will be f###ed again does anyone know either way??? cheers
cheers peeps think they are re-useable just checked on kent cams web site and that said torque to 60lbft using arp molylube didnt mention anything about 90 degree turns so cant need it, need to get my motor runnnin for monday so gonna run it, if h.gasket goes just have to change it again lol thanks again
lol if they were stretch studs it would sort of defeat the whole purpose of spending lots of beer tokens and fitting them
The reason for using stud and nut kits suchs as ARP's is because under extreme boost standard stretch bolts can......s t r e t c h.....leading to head gasket failure.
