I had a discussion about this in work today & my opinion is that 24 is miles better although lost is good, but I was surprised that quite a few of the boys in work prefer lost? - What is your opinion?

 

Never seen either, but everyone in the office goes on about lost

BUT Sopranos and the Shield are even better in my opinion

 

You cant really compare the 2 because they are so different. What makes 24 entertaining is completely different to what makes lost entertaining.

If I was made to choose and could only ever watch one of them i would choose 24

Then Prison Break, then Lost

Lost was 2nd until I watched the first few episodes of season 2 which I found dull, thankfully it has started to pick up again though.

I spend absolute fortunes on boxsets but do love em! Can't watch just one episode of something, find it very frustrating!

If people haven't tried 'The Shield' then you should. Its off the charts

 

Thats the dilemna i have got Porkie. Season 5 of 24 starts on sky this sunday, but i cant cope with once a week. SO do i start watching it or wait until the box set comes out

Havent got sky + unfortuneately. Went for the el cheapo install and am now regretting it

Agree, bought the sets and are trying to push through as everyone says it gets good... but when?!?!?!?

You NEEEED to watch The Shield. The only thing that comes close is Sopranos.

Just bought 'The Wire' seems ok so far... I also just bought every series of CSI and thats just amazing

I have sooo many boxsets is silly. All ten series of Friends, all 9 series of Xfiles, all 4 Alias, all 6 Westwing, 3 Shields, 7 buffys, Simpsons, southpark.. etc etc! LOADS more. Amazon is to blame for it all!!!

Us brits do some GREAT shows as well. I have all the Series of Spooks and Hustle and REALLY REALLY rate them. If you haven't seen them you need shooting!!!

I used to love a program that was on ITV called Murder City.

Fooking excellent program that was. Dont think they are gonna make anymore.

 

 

Hmm i'd say 24 but only just - both are excellent have thier bad points; lost is really slow moving and as someone above said Jack in 24 is really becoming invincible

 

24 is good but after watching the series 1-4, you soon learn. Its all very cheesy. Absolutely spot on made program.

But as said, Jack Baurer seems to save the world single handed about 5 times.


Lost is far fetched but that acceptable, as u know its far fetched but 24 is meant to be perfectly believable.

Lost is IMO much better than 24.
24 got very long winded and very repetative after the 1st series.

Lost has many more characters in it so is much more entertaining.

Plus with Lost u find out little bits about the character along the way, where as in 24, there's not much to jack, he's just foookin Super Man

I like Lost a lot but 24 pisses all over it IMO.

Already seen first 6 episodes of series 5 and it's blew me away. Has potential to be best series yet.
