well as far as i am concerned its been beer for me ! put on about six stone in the last three years !

seriously though, wouldnt suggest this. theres a much more sensible and healthier way to gain weight, and also gain the right type of weight/mass.

i have just started powerlifting/weight training the last couple of months and do a lot of cycling so my legs and thighs are huge(34") which together with the big (beer) gut, which is why my weight is around the 20-21stone mark.

i am also looking for ways to maintain the size and bulk. anyone recommend any good supplements that are not creatine based ?

Start by having a good solid diet based around food. Check out the thread on food to be able to work out how much carbs, protein etc you need. Then fill the gaps in your diet with a meal replacement drink. I would recommend the MetRX versions, but only because i have used them in the past and they taste nice.

Be mindful that most weightgain drinks are full of simple sugars which are not the best way of putting on weight.

Since giving up smoking I've been trying to do the same thing & in the 4 months thatI've given up I've put on 2 stone which is something I really needed to do & I've still got another stone that I want to put on.

I've been searching through loads of websites etc trying to find diets & routines that will help me gain weight. So I normally eat 4 times a day which is breakfast, a snack around 10 ish, lunch & dinner & a supplement drink just before bed (Pro Lab NLarge 2) & I may sometimes have this with breakfast as well. & I'm also training 4 times a week as well.

The below website I found really useful as it gives sample diets & workout routines etc which I've found really helped me

http://www.gain-weight-muscle-fast.c...diet-plan.html

Hopefully some of the above can be of some use & I'm not just waffling
