Default Questions about chin ups/press ups

Ok why is it i find these 2 pretty hard, or at least harder than it should be for me!

Im slim guy, 5ft11 and about 11 stone, arms are pretty long so im guessing this is the main reason i dont find chin ups/ press ups easy?
With chin ups i struggle to do 6-7(fully down and right up) without it hurting like mad and dropping to the floor like a stone.

Its not like im weak with skinny arms either.

Chinups are one of the best exercises for the outer back(lats) especially when you can do them with weight hanging round your waist

Anyone who can do over 10 using a full strecth is doing pretty well so don't be ashamed of your 7. Also your grip strength plays a big part too
