Default 1x Fat fu*ker checking in for a workout log!

Well, it is about time I started a health and fitness regime agian ... I have put loads of weight on the last few years, and it is time to nip it in the bud before it becomes a real problem.....

I am in the RAF and get fitness tests every 6 months, and at my age (29), we have to reach level 9:10 on the bleep test, and do 35 sit ups in 1 min, and 13 push ups in 1 min, which frankly is easy, and never having failed a test, I don't intend to start now ...

I currently weigh 113Kgs ish, and I am 191cms, so approx 6'3. The BMI tables say I am obese , so it is time to get down to a fighting weight again of 86KGS....

Took my sorry ass to the gym today, and managed to do 6k in 44m.39s, so my aim is to get back to running 10k in just under an hour, as it is a great fat burner IMHO.

So, here we go!

Day 1- 10/11/09 - 113Kgs- 6k run in 44m.39s.

Good luck and make sure you keep us updated.

I would say though that you should not get too hung up on what the scales say. I weigh slightly less than you at around 110Kgs but I am only 6ft odd. I'm sure going by what you have said the bmi table would have me as obese but I don't agree. I could do with losing a few pounds but I am in fair shape. Use them for guidance of coarse but go by what the mirror says instead.

lol im 5 foot 8 and 14 stone (90kg (ish) my bmi is 30, and now im training im far from fat so take no notice, weigh yourself in the mirror. iv been training for 2-3 months and not lost a single pound...BUT look 100times better, im slowly loosing the gut and getting nicely toned and bigger on the top half and my legs are slimming up

just get training and watch the results my routine untill recently (was 3 days a week now 4) was:

mon-wed-fri:

20 min treadmill
4x10 between 15kg-17kg (each arm) shoulder press
4x10 15kg flys
4x10 50kg bench press
4x10 50-60kg squat
4x10 120kg- calf raises
4x10 20 sit ups with medicen ball

after 4 weeks started seeing a real difference when teamed up with a good diet and one protein shake after training.

iv now split things up and changed things about as i train 4 days a week but it worked well for me. will get before-after pics up soon

I know I am a bit porky , hence it's time to get back into shape.... Hopefully having my eyes laser treated next wednesday, so will actually be able to head a football properly for the first time in years, so to justify spending 3.5k, I need to be able to play a 90 min game of football at a reasonable fitness level...

3 years ago I spent 6 months in the Falklands, and managed to loose 4 stone in 4 months, just by bashing out 10k most days, and playing 3-4 hours of 5-a-side a week, so I know I can do it. Also I am radically altering my diet, out with the junk and in with the real food, I am quite lucky really as I love salad and veg, so most days I will be trying to cut out all the junk carbs, and eat fish/chicken etc ..

Nice one dude.

I started mine 10 days ago and whilst i've actually put a kilo on - i'm sure thats down to the weights training i've been doing!

I feel more alive, brighter, sharper and healthier for dropping all the junk out my diet and drinking water instead of pop!
