Default One piece of equiptment for the home.

Right, I'm after something for a cardiovascular workout and I'm looking at exercise bikes, rowing machines and cross trainers.

Anything else to consider?.

I know that the cost of a reasonable one will pay for about 6 months gym membership but that's not an option just yet. I just want something I can jump on when I get back from work. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

For home i think excercise bike is best as it has less moving parts so less things to go wrong or break and they last forever if you buy a good one

I've been looking at the air/magnetic ones, they're very good. Nice and compact too.

Spin bike looks cool, just like the real thing.

There's a nice reebok rowing machine I've seen, folds away too........

I can't decide and I want to order it today.

Well that's it you see, if it's cold, wet or windy I can't be arsed going out on a bike so an exercise bike at home in the warmth near a tv is appealing.

I think I'm gonna sleep on it and order something tomorrow.

I would probably go for the rowing machine!

It puts less strain on your body than the others, yet also works a larger range of muscles!

You're better just going out on a real bike to honest...even in the shite weather. There's more benefit to be had than just getting fit.

Home excercise would never work for me...Going to the Gym keeps me out of the fridge for a couple of hours

Apart from the bit about less strain, thats why you should be going for a rowing machine.

Its a much better workout than a cross trainer or bike.

Half hour rowing is better for you than a half hour on a cross trainer and its better than a bike.

Bike works the least amount of parts and requires the least energy.

It's THIS one. Free next day delivery too.

I did ten minutes on it yesterday and it was great, I just wanted to keep on going. I might turn the resistance up a bit today though.

If you want proof pics I'll get some of me naked rowing later.

Going great. I'm on the hardest resistance now and do 15-20 minutes every other day. In 20 mins I do over 500 strokes too.
