Massive thanks to you all after ONE YEAR!!
Thats right, its 1 year today since i started my fitness regime and ultimately ended up at the gym, and i can honestly say that, apart from when i went on holiday i havent been to the gym less than 3x in any week, and usually more.
Question is, was it worth it? Well, i will let you all decide that for yourselves...
On 28th October 2005 my stats were:
Weight: 18stone 2lb (116kg)
Waist: 42”
Stomache: 46”
Ass: 43”
Thigh: 27”
Calves: 15”
Chest: 43”
Biceps: 14”
Forearms: 12”
Fat Ratio 38% (Gym machine)
BMI 36.9
And i looked like this: (Pics taken around or before that date.)
And today, 28th Oct 2006:
Weight: 15stone 8lb (99kg)
Waist: 39”
Stomache: 41”
Ass: 41”
Thigh: 25”
Calves: 17.25”
Chest: 46”
Biceps: 16.25”
Forearms: 14”
Fat Ratio 32.5% (Own machine)
BMI 32.2
And i look like this:
Im a happy bunny.
Thanks to all you people who have offered advice, help and encouragement. Fear of failure in front of people is one of teh things that drives me onwards, so you have all helped in your own way, even just by viewing my posts in here.
Thanks especially to Paul Eggleton for his help and guidance in teh early stages and for making me my first ever gym routine, without him i wouldnt have even come close to what i have learnt now. Thanks fella.
Roll on 28th October 2007.

Seriously though.. well done stu
You've made massive improvements and are looking great, so many people go to the gym but only for a couple of months before they lose interest so well done for keeping at it

i weigh 100kg, 32" waist, 12% bodyfat, 6ft 3"
youve definately gone a better shape stu, well done.
maybe drop a few % in bodyfat and you'll really see the shape come out.
i LOVE my takeaways and meals out so know how hard it is to eat well, but you'll look BIGGER if you drop body fat.
im in blackpool aswell, train at bannertynes next to the odean. its got good facilities and is immaculately clean. plus you can drop your wallet and its guaranteed someone will hand it in and not swipe it LOL!

losing fat actually makes you look bigger as all your definition stands out.
next time your at the gym take a look at a 'fairly' ripped bloke...if you actually look at the size of his arms they are pretty small/thin in mass. BUT, you put him next to a guy with 50% bigger arms but NO definition (ie. a thick layer of fat over his muscles) the skinnier guy will look bigger.
ok, it might not be good for when your wearing a shirt and you want to look big and hard in town lol buy when wearing a t shirt or a vest at the gym you'll look much bigger/better.
although i know what you lot mean about not cutting up just yet, i LOVE food in all shapes and forms, and also losing weight at the gym gets you down because you should be putting ON weight.
but thats the gym foir ya, bloody hassle! but impossible to quit when youve been doing it a couple of years
