2006 zetec s tdci
Hi all,
This is my first post on this forum, so please be nice haha.
I'm looking to change cars, and have been looking at the diesel zetec s for a while.
I currently drive an Astra Sri, but due to work, I now
Drive around 350 miles per week (roughly 60% a roads, 40% around town).
Just wondering if somebody could tell me their rough mpg figures and 0-60 times...
Thanks in advance,
Lloyd

Driving like a granny will see 75mpg,
Average mixed driving 60-65 mpg,
Running round town & giving it a bit of welly will see about 50mpg.
Mines got no engine mods but excellent service history & thats about what im getting.
Theyll never break any records but theyre nippy enough, a good remap should see about 110-120bhp and a good torque increase.

Mine sees in excess of 450 every time. I can get 250 out of half a tank.
Just checked the milage on mine & thats on 107k too but drives like new?
Definetley agree with on needing a 6th gear as they do rev a bit high whilst cruising at 70.
Suppose one of best things about them is the low insurance group & £30 a year to tax.

yep if that lol can get abit more if a long motorway journey but ime mainly just doing short trips.
mine dosent drive bad but you can just tell its done the miles lots of rattles and bangs lol gona change the front shocks and springs soon because it sits to low at the front i think because ive noticed alot of them are noticeably higher at the front than mine .
They are cheap to run though .
Got any pics of yours mate ?
Hears mine next to a lowered focus and mine looks as low lol splitter as gone now though killed it in a large puddle

My 07 plate has 60k on the clock and I always manage 55+mpg regardlessof how I drive it and can get 70mpg if you play safe. I got nearly 600 miles to a tank once, not bad for £55.
Low insurance, £30 tax and plenty of torque, get one with a good spec and plenty of extras and you will enjoy it.

Ive got my heart set on a blufin as its also a diagnostic tool, i did fancy taking it to rs tuning at leeds (not far from me) but the flexability of the blufin appeals to me.
It sounds a bit ćliche but why not stick some fez st wheels on and slam it, the escoss look good but reduce handling due to theyre width & offset but i dont drive it that hard anyways. Comps are usually a winner if you can get the right colour/size/style combination right. I fancy some 17-18" porsche wheels on hub adaptors for next year. I can easily set my suspension to suit as im on adjustable Avo coilovers.

My fiesta zs tdci takes £50 or less to fill up, I get 520 miles of fuel, mixture of speeds mainly motorway ( Essex to London daily ) 70-90 mph,
Sometimes up to 100 mph
Average 56- 58 mpg
I agree £30 tax per year is why I got it, also cheap insurance,
And quite nippy too
Wanted the st really, but I live in southend and work in North London so needed diesel power for commuting lol
Just gota slam it now
