Default Fiesta mk6 seat tilting mechanism broken

Anyone had any probs with above?

Seems both sides have gone now on the other halfs fiesta, meaning no access to back seats. seems cable has came away from handles on top of seat.

How do you get access to change cable or handles???

Very very common fault mate - ask slowpoke

You can get to it from the bottom if you pull the side plastic section off, from the top can you not prise it off with a screwdriver?

I get mine done at ford cos a mate works there and it's guaranteed then!! - that would be my course of action

i have had this happen to me on both sides. easy enough to do yourself.
you could use a small pair of grips on the top of the cable to give you acess to the back as a temp measure.

I just did one of mine the other week. The new cable has to go down from the top(i took the seat out to do it), DONT buy a Haynes manual just to help you do this, theres nothing in it

Its easy enough in hindsight but I broke one side of the clip that holds the handle in the seat.

If we learn from mistakes, I should be a bloody expert by now

did you have to buy a new clip that holds the handle in? is it a bit that holds the cable that you mean?

Hey folks

I've been stuck with two broken seat tilt handles for over a year now and have finally decided to get round to fixing it.

Passenger seat handle is off and now just need to put the new one on. Is there a certain way to do it or does the handle just clip on and hook the nipple/wire tip as it is pushed on? Was a nightmare to take the broken one off.

One of the wires on the driver's seat tilt handle has snapped. Nightmare!

I would load pictures but I do not know how to do it by selecting it's URL
