Default FRST exhaust

Hello,

Short question. If I put a straight pipe intstead of the two silencers between the standard FRST exhaust. Will this make any difference to the torque or horsepower?

cheers

As you have a turbo car, it will free up your horsepower and torque, just make sure u get the right mm wide pipe

Buy a Magnex or a Mongoose. Cutting the silencers out is a bit of a bodge and can get you into trouble with the plod

Don't waste your money on a Scorpion. It'll lose you power. Go with everyone else and get the Mongoose

It is absolute bollocks that the Scorpion will lose power I use one on my Scort with no adverse effects as does Alexzvh.

Any of these three exhausts will be fine on you your car

Ever see how restrictive they can be ? I know that a cossie scorpion exhaust is very bad. You have a 3" or 4" pipe going to the backbox but a tiny hole at where the pipe and box meet, that stops the gases from flowing.

I had forgotten to mention it was a 3dr ... sorry. But we honestly shined a torch into the tailpipe and saw a tiny hole that the gases were meant to pass through to enter the back box. Waste of time having all the 3" pipe to hit a 1" entry hole for the back box.

No worries like that with a Mongoose, you can lose a limb down the back box, even on a FRST one
