Default OFAC to OFAB Conversion

Ok basically i have my good FRST which had an ofac type set up (only has the loom now). But there is no running gear, sensors, ecu etc etc

The car im breaking is ofab. So i will need to change the loom in my good ofac car over to ofab, so i can get the running gear with the ofab ecu sensors and loom etc, to be running right in my car!!!

I have searched here, fiestaturbo and fiesta guides and not one single thread is giving me a crystal clear method of how i need to do things!!!

Can someone with a decent knowledge, please tell me what's the way to do it?? Alot of back and forth info on the other sites about changing wires in the multiplug. But im scared of frying something!! So want it done right

ofac and ofab are two different types of ecu...the main difference between the two are the map sensors used. the reason to change the engine loom is the map sensors have different plugs. take the ecu, engine loom and everything else from your donor car and fit it to the good one..job done

Where does the engine loom disconnect?? At the fuse box?? And i know they all run different sensors. Hence wanting to know is it as simple as messing around with a few wires in my existing ofac loom or do i take it out and stick in the ofab loom, as the engine and sensors im about to use, are all from a car with ofab

Don't waste your time on trying to convert your ofac loom to ofab. It's much easier to just take out the ofab loom from your donor car. Take the whole bracket off with the map sensor, edis, and co2 pot, then you should then see the engine plug that will separate behind that you also have the inlet plug for the injector loom mounted on the engine which will separate. Also remember to take the ofab ecu.

Hope it helps you if you haven't already sorted it
