How to fit ST170 front brakes onto a Fiesta RS Turbo
Hi Everyone,
Iv been looking into fitting a set of st170 front brakes to my frst,
I have been getting a range of answers so thought id ask the people in the know.
Im aware you have to drill out the holes on the hub to 12mm, but i am unsure about the offset of the disks and weather the calliper will need spacing?? I know the Mondeo ones do but I want st170 as I have the rears on a mk5 beam ready to bolt on.
Is there anything else I have to consider?
I have 16`s and coilovers so clearance isnt a problem.
Hopefully this will put the issue to bed once and for all.
Cheers

Can't remember but be very cautious with rear discs as without bias valves the rear is vastly over braked. To be brutal I would say keep the drums.
I did Fiesta ST150 brakes on my old Fiesta RST and pretty sure it was a bolt on conversion.

sorry to revive this near 6 year old thread but i suppose thats what the search button is for.
im looking at upgrading the brakes on my fiesta rs turbo to the st170 set up and just want to clarify whats needed
obviously calipers/carriers/pads and discs, then iv read above about enlarging the bolt holes, Any idea of what size the bolt holes are drilled out to?
also are there any other bits n bobs needed for this conversion as when i do it i want to make sure to have everything at hand to sort it in one go
any help/advice much appreciated

Are you fitting the rear discs aswell? I've fitted st170 all round mine but I must say that rear discs are more of a visual thing rather than better braking if you don't mind the look of drums I'd just keep them on the rear

I put a post on the fiesta RS Turbo Facebook page a couple of weeks ago about putting a rear disc conversion on my fez and there were more no than yes, and I’ve got escort cosworth front brakes on mine, if they were good enough for a big old cosy they’re more than upto the job on a little fez.

I've got st170 brakes all round, I fitted a mk5 rear axle to my fez and the rear st170 brakes bolt straight on to it, and the mk5 is a lot stronger
