Default Fiesta/Escort rs turbo engines

Hi all

I'm looking to buy a fiesta RS turbo project car. The engines blown not sure what's gone bang yet but I'm looking to buy a replacement/spare engine.

My question is are the escort and fiesta rs turbo lumps the same just in different shells?

I've always had fords then I bought a BMW But Ive always missed that old ford smell and the cameraderie of old ford owners.

Thanks in advance

Andrew

no mate unless u are lucky.

the escort block has no cut out for the flywheel sensor ( but i did hear that some later escorts did have these fitted but were not used

The heads are also different , the fezz heads have a cut out inlet side for the injectors

im sure the crank rods and pistons are the same
