Zetec S tuning options

Zetec S tuning options
A lad at work has asked me about raising the power on his Zetec S. He says he'll have about 1k to spend. Obviously I told him zorst filter, chip and set-up, maybe cams and head work later on. But he wants a 'stage 1' package from a tuner. So he'll be wanting it fitted by said tuner to.
So what sort of zorst and filter combos work well on the Festa S and which companies could do him a 'stage 1' tune up
Regards
Andy

when i had mine i looked at the puma lump as well, but if i had one now i'd look at at motorbike carbs, work like throttle bodys. im sure you can get a full set up for aroung Ł650. now that would be good. all very well saying put a puma lump in but in standard for your only gonna get a 30 BHP increase on a std zS lump. and it costs more than a grand to do the conversion and then cash to tune it.
tell your mate to get on somewhere like www.zsoc.co.uk or.com i cant remeber but they will have alsorts of ways as theres a versitle group of peeps on their with different ideas.
i wonder what a rsTurbo'ed Zetec s would go like.............

Me and Clayton are from ZSOC.com
Theres nowt better value than getting Pumabuild to do a 1.7 conversion
Its 25%more power but its the way it drives that makes the 1.7 so good, with the VCT it really breathes better at the top end and feels really good. A better base for tuning too as the 1.6 has nowt going for it really. If you're happy at 120bhp-ish a panel filter, nice exhaust and manifold and a livemap or a bluefin will see that no bother, maybe a bit more but it wont feel like the 1.7.
