A T34 (Hybrid) is bigger than a T3, I should imagine a T34 will be too big for a FRST, as it is you need to do mods such as moving the radiator further forward to fit a T3 as there simply isn't the room, hence Ford fitting a T2 in the first place.
You are not entirely clear as to what you have, but assuming it is a T34, I certainly would not do a swap, but would, if cash was to also be put your way!

Oh 'so the boots on the other foot' so to speak.
Not really I mean as with any turbo the bigger it is, inherently you get more lag, but a T34 is good all round, for the best compromise of power/lag, I don't know about RST'S but it certainly works well on Cosworths.
Just be wary as there is far more involved then simply bolting it on, you will need a remap for a start, then as I say with the FRST you have space issues.
It also may not work well with your engine spec, for example the turbo may be flow more than the standard engine can consume so there won't be any benefit unless you have head work/ uprated cam etc.
