Default Rewiring rev gauge??

Ive put a frst engine in my escort, it runs spot on but I dont have a rev gauge working? I cant get it to work, ive took a direct wire from pin 11 of edis and nothing, took a feed from pin 3 of multi plug and onlyget half a reading??? I have xr3i car with xr3i wiring, I wired the engine with a full fiesta rs turbo loom . Itsjust annoying me now ive tried myclocks and my rev gauge and theres no difference so I know there both ok? Any ideas please help?????

pin 11 is the correct pin, have you got a scope of a signal genorator? failing this try a new (to you) edis unit they are not that expensive it could be a duff connection of the edis pin!
