Default My Fiesta RS1800

Thought this might be of interest on here basicly got given an rs1800 in part payment for some work i done on a mates van....

so rather than break the thing i decided to try and rebuild the thing...

so got on and replaced the following

headgasket replaced with cylinder head pressure tested and skimmed
timingbelt and water pump
thermostat
drivebelt
front suspension mountings and bearings
rear shocks
new front brake callipers
front pads and discs
rear wheel cylinders shoes and cables
new headlamps for mot
oil air and fuel filters with all new fluids
plug, leads, coil pack
new earth cable engine to battery
new battery
temp switch

then as it just became one job after another.... it was on to the body work, the front bumper and tail gate were beyond repair so i hunted for new ones

then supplied a bodyshop that does alot of work for who i work for with these and the fiesta....

after having the rear arches replaced, complete body sills either side and a full respray

this is what she looks like i picked her up last week from the body shop

Enjoy

should of took pictures during the process but when i started of it wasn't gonna have this much work done lol

least another Rs lives even if its only the fiesta Rs1800

oh yeah and its up for sale

Java Blue - same as mine (also on an M) but alas mine is in bits and looking worse for wear. But is being rebuilt - slowly.
Amazes me of the few hundred that made it in the UK flea bay seems to have 2 or 3 for sale every week........surley they all cant be genuine!
