Fiesta Mk3 Help Needed a.s.a.p!
Hi
i recently bought myself a mk3 ford fiesta 1.0,i bought two cobra clubman bucket seats and the addaption bars for them but i am haveing problems.
i rang cobra and they dont know what is going on
when i put the addaption bars on the lever to move forward and back is hitting the bar so u can pull it up to move foward or back
so cobra had the idea of bending the bar down a little bit,so i did so and it work find when they were off the seats,so i put the frames on the seats, still worked fine so i was all smiles, then i put them in the car and only to find that there is a raise in the floor and it has just pushed the bar back up again so the seats slide freely and dont lock in
has anyone had this problem before or know/have any suggestions for me to help me get them in?

It's just a thought but you could try Mk II Fez/Mk IV Escort (they are both the same) runners, they may need a new bit bar made up for the middle to go between the 2 sides of the runners to relise the side without the handle (if that makes sence) I think I am right in saying they have the holes are the same centers front to back but they are slightly narrower on the seats, witch wouldn't matter on your seats.
I don't know if that makes sence, it did in my head.
Gotta be worth a try if you can get a runner from a scrappie, shouldn't have thought they'd cost much, if one fits, go back and get the other one.
I'll take some pics and mesurements later if you want cause I have a seat in my garage.

Right the hole centers on the Fiesta seats are 310 x 560 (back brackets)
The 'scort runners will need a bit of an adaption, they have abracket on the front that is riveted on, that will need to be removed and by using the front rivet hole as a mounting hole the dimentions will be 310 x 455 (back bracket) now the second dimention is not relivent because the width will be changed when you bolt it onto your new seats, but the bar indacated on the pic below will need to be re-made as it wont be lond enough but that shouldnt be a problem.
Hopefully this will work can't see why it wouldn't, I fit a pair of Cobra Clubman seats into my last Mk II XR2 with Peugot subframes and Fez runners.
And alos fit a pair of Mk II XR2 seats into a Mk III Fez, so anything possible
Keep us updated, would like to know if it works.

or fit seats to mk3 RECARO subframes
they aint like the crappy low spec subs, much better and not part of the seat
later mk3.5s have differnt contours in the floorpans too, mite be the problem
