have tried searching and cant find anything... can you drive with the iscv unplugged?? idles too high with it plugged in and seems to rev and idle normally with it unplugged but what happens if i drive it lol

Yes it'll be ok to drive it without the sensor, it may cut out until the car warms up though when started from cold. If it's not the valve it'll be a temperature sensor telling the ECU that the engine is cold and thus telling the ISCV that it needs to operate, when infact it doesn't, I think thats basically how it works....

ah cool thanks matey... could it be any temp sensor?? my act guage reads as --- all the time now and the temp gauge inside the car will stay in/under the blue for ages unless its just sat idling, in which case it starts to overheat and the needle will go up into red as normal as my fan doesnt switch on either lol

I think so, i'm not too clued up on Fiestas to be honest mate, but by what your saying that sounds very plausable. I'd get it checked out/get a new sensor and plug the ISCV back in and see what happens.

Your ACT gauge is most likely nothing to do with anything the ECU is using.
