i have been talking to a guy via pm's on passion ford, he mentioned that ford recalled all the t2 turbo return pipes with the kink in the pipe for a straight through return without the kink.

is this true and has anyone got one or a picture?

Never seen one rob, or heard anything about one i'd say that if the standard one was clear of obstructive build up it should work fine.
