Hi I have a Fiesta mk2 Xr2 -87 with a Escort Xr3i engine but I am using the Xr2 gearbox.

-Simons 2˝" Sportexhaust system all the way
-Modifyed Aircleaner casing with sportfilter
-Extractor exhaustmanifold

The future modifications are:

-Full size rollcage
-Sierra Cosworth breakdisc front/back
-Two OMP sportchairs
-Removed backseat
-OMP steering wheel
-OMP gear shift gaiter
-OMP handbreak handel/gaiter
-OMP strutbraces front/back
-OMP fourpoint harness

and when the money is right a turbo convension , and there are things I have forgot to wright.
what have you done with your car?

Mine ant actually a xr2 it was a base model 950cc didnt (still) dont have a heated rear screen.I was thinking bout fitting a Zvh engine but then this crossflow come up brand new never been fitted for Ł500 with a carb twin 45's and 4 branch manifold was sitting in a mate's mum's living room So i got it off him the only resson i like the crossflow is that not many people have fiited them in to a mk2 so i thought i would be different. It is fairly quick as well kept up and passed a 1.8 vw passat!!! and i havent had it set up yet either. But now the winter is here i ant using it so gonna fit the twin 45's and get it set up ready for next year.

I live up north (newcastle) so places are hard to find, well places that i can trust. I drive down to northallerton (not too far frm leeds) place called motoscope which really no what there doing with carbs and are very very reasonably priced. But it all depends were you live if you live further south then there is loads of places which will be good at tuning xflows. The good thing about xflows is alot of the older generation used to rally them engines and no all the tricks to get them running mint. i have had a mk1 bfore that had a 1700xflow with a weber performance carb and a cam nd it didnt go too badly just nightmare on cold mornings and in general just felt ancient but they do rev and rev and rev.

im sure most of the xrtwo.com lot know the score with mine but for those who done...

its a W plate mk1 supersport and i put a 1.6 cvh in there.

engine is a lean burn, worked bottom end, stg head with bigger valves, ported and polished etc etc, piper 285 cam, DCOM's on a ported and matched manifold. its currently on a crappy fiesta centre manifold but ive got a janseed one im gonan modify to fit and match the ports. itll be running through an ashley system i got aswell.

suspension wise its got avo coilies at the front, but std at the back. ive got some springs waiting to go on the back, but im gonna wait till ive picked up some dampers and put the lot on there at once.

brakes up front are mk2 xr2 stuff, with kevlar pads and drilled/grooved disks, the rear stuff is just new mk1 xr2 stuff but im planning a rear disk conversion as soon as ive found some brackets. theres braided hoses allround.

was dyno'd at 125bhp @ the wheels (148 @ fly) in the previous owners car, but ive done a few bits to it so im hoping itll break 150.

got big plans for it though! cossie slayer 'r' us stylee!!!

Hi there people got a green 1989 1.6cvh XR2. Stage 2 gas flowed head, 4 branch, K+N, Full s/s system, fast road cam. Lowered on full G-Max suspension, Wilwoood 4 pots, 15" alloys with Toyo tyres. 2 '88 spec Recaros and half roll cage, interior totally stripped. Sourcing an ERST engine at the moment. Would put pics up but i'm really computer illiterate .
